The well-known Soviet Tu-2 medium bomber, which entered service with the Soviet Air Force in the 1940s, was the main force of Soviet bombers during World War II. This powerful twin-tail mid-wing monoplane was very fast. It was recognized as one of the best medium bombers in the late WWII. After the war, Tu-2s were exported to many countries. They almost became the standard equipment of socialist countries. They were also the primary equipment of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Air Force.
